irritating neighbour

Ever since my first exams in NTU starts, the stupid neighbour that live above me start to on the music damn loud evrytime i am studying. The person can on the music so loud that i think he or she is deaf and the genres of music are like wow, from classical to rock to techno, from chinese songs to english songs to cantonese songs and sometimes some language that i dun even understand. There was once when i ask that person to shut up cos i want to study and that person actually ask me not to study, damn it, i think i am really very unlucky both those living on top of me and below me are inconsiderate creatures which think that if they dun need to study the whole wolrd dun have to also. Can someone tell me what can i do to stop all these irritating pple?
